I'm from a family that's mostly boys and that theory about the worse mother in laws having mostly or all sons is definitely true. I have 6 brothers and my mother has been a nightmare for my brother's wife. He was the first to get married. Now they're barely on speaking terms and my mom blames everything on my sister in law.

She totally did. She was expecting a rise out of OP and when OP ignored her a$$ and actually had fun at the party, MIL called to make sure she had OP's attention. MIL has the maturity level of a 2 year old.

That's exactly what is was! She was salty nobody gave her the show she was expecting.
I'm so glad DH told her she doesn't need to bother with MIL anymore.
