Waterless moisturizer really doesnt moisturize?

IMO, no they don't. I learned this right here on the boards. If it doesn't contain water in the top 3 ingredient listing then it shouldnt be considered a moisturizer..Just call it OIL basically.

Water is the ultimate moisturizer. I know many ladies use the oil-moisturizer and they say it works for them and appears to moisturize but it's really sealing. :look:

If it doesn't contain water for me, then I dont consider it a moisturizer. And thinking back, before I knew what a true moisturizer was, I also had to "moisturize" my hair every day. Now I don't have too. A good leave-in/moisturizer with WATER should let you go a couple days with moisture.

If they say it works then it works but there's a couple huge threads where ladies got scientific proof about what oils/butters are really penetrating the shaft and leaving hair moisturized by the true definition.

I aint about to wash and dry my hair and load butters on top.

Butters seem to be great for natural hair, but personally, not so much for my relaxed hair.
