I know exactly how you feel. But it's always like this when you are waiting for something to happen. I bet if you don't check on your hair growth for a month and then let your hair down you'd be surprised:)

I feel the same way. Just this morning i was thinking about when i started (in May '03) on my 'taking care of my hair' journey and i don't really see a difference in my length BUT my hair is 100x healthier than it ever was. I guess that's my consolation prize. I am not going to take another pic of my hair until May so i can really c how much it's grown.

nay....u know what..im not gonna check on my hair growth for a while, im tired of not seeing any major results..
and carmelhonee..i said the same thing, i will not take any pics for a while either, maybe in may, like you....around my bday, hopefully that will be a gift to myself....hairpics and hair growth that is noticable!!
are these the trying times? in between lengths that really test your patience? how do we get thru this?

Don't feel bad, I know exactly what you mean. Heck, it seems that I've been stuck at this length for the longest. Then I had a 4in setback (which grew back out), but at this rate it seems like I'll never make my first goal. And to top it all off, my last relaxer was put all the way down the length of my hair and now I think it's overprocessed. I agree with Nay and CH. Put it away for a while and try to forget about it. I may do the same. It's just so hard when I'm here at the board everyday. Anyway, chin up girlie, you ARE making progress

I agree, you have to keep up your routine and not pay attention to length b/c it will drive you crazy! It's so wonderful to let a lot of time by and then out of the blue notice how much longer your hair has gotten.

hairlove, how do i do that? do u mean no relaxing or no measuring?????? im willng to try anything to get my mind off my wating for newgrowth....

You think you got it bad?! My hair is in braids and still, I take one out once a week to see if it's getting any longer!!!

I know it's hard, but I 'm the same way, I'm trying not to do it anymore...

I've decided not to blow out my hair till August. Partly because I dont have a blowdryer. But the only way I can see my true length is to blow it out. So instead of doing that Im going save my hair from the heat and wait. That way I can suprise my self around that time, But Ill be getting a trim too though. Hopefully I wont have to cut a lot off.

I know how you feel GIRL.
This is how I felt when I was trying to grow back in my hairline and bald spots.
I would stand in the mirror everyday trying to rush my hair
to grow back. I decided to not to worry about it and my hair
surprised me when I took my braids out.

Me too- I feel like I'm not getting anywhere!
But I plan to not straighten my hair until May when (hopefully), I will be able to see a (good) difference!
