I went to the salon Wednesday after stretching since April 1st.

Also, before I went to the salon, I did a protein treatment (ORS Mayo), roller set and didn't blow dry the roots so that she can see the NG. The night before I put moisturizer and carrot oil (I should have used EVOO) on my ends. I got that tip off this hairboard (THANKS LADIES):)

I used Motions Oil lye and it was pretty good (I usually use this). It got everything straight and I still have body. So in all, I'm satisfied.:ohwell:

Yesterday I was with friends in Manhattan and it rained!!! I got SOAKED and so did my fresh perm.

So my question is, how long must you wait before washing your hair again; When you do, do you use a protein treatment (if so, light/ heavy) or just a moisturizing treatment??

TIA!!

I wash mine as early as 3 days after a touch up and then I deep condition my hair a week later but I am anxious to hear what the ladies will say.

If u want to wash the rainwater out then it should be okay to wash after 2 or 3 days. I would use a light or mild shampoo. A stronger one might cause reversion.

I sometimes wash right away just to get more body and fullness. Ive never waited any set time..... I would assume you can wash it right away, if you choose to do so. Its not like you can "wash away the perm." After a nice rollerset it'll look and fall just beautifully again. :)

ITA....I don't wait any set time, either. My hair was relaxed yesterday, and I washed it today; it gives my hair body and bounce.
