and when I got out, put some break free, coconut, jojoba and olive in it..i had tons of slip and it felt really nice...no i wrapped it and put my silk scarf on and went to sleep...I woke up and THE DARN COCONUT OIL HAS HARDENED..it's about 40 degrees outside and I dont have the heat on, so it's kind of cold in here. Now, its really soft and moist in the patches where my head is warmest...maybe I'll just leave it wrapped, put my scarf back on and keep it like this until it warms back up outside in a couple days

I love that about coconut oil, but probably not if I awoke to this situation. When I go outside to my car, my hair gets hard and stiff. But since it's so huge, it's nice b/c it doesn't blow around. When the heat kicks on it softens again.

To combat this issue I started using an emulsion of nexxus botanical oil, Elasta QP's Mango Butter and Coconut oil. I haven't had this problem since and my hair is way less oily, but nicely moisturized.

I think I solved the problem. I turned my shower on full blast with hot water and closed the bathroom door to fill the room with steam, then after 10 minutes or so I went and chilled in there until it evaporated. Then I rubbed it little castor oil cream in my hair. Now it's extra soft and shiny!
