Excuse me. Does anyone have any information on this. You know that relaxer that get's applied for a shorter ammount of time. And it makes your hair come out wavy. Then you blowdrie when you want it straight. Plz let me know

Thans in advance e.c

Basically what you're talking about is a texturizer. When I want my hair straight, I airdry it with the ponytail method, wet wrap, or rollerset it. I'm not using direct heat so blowdriers and curlers are a no no for me. When I want it curly, I apply various leave in products, don't touch it when it's wet and scrunch and go once it's dry.

Hey there......

I did something like this last summer. I used Motions Mild Oil Moisturizer Relaxer and left it on for about 10-15minutes. My curls were only loosen (I'm a 4a/b).

It was wondeful! I would wash/rinse my hair everyday and let it air-dry.

Why don't I have it anymore? Well, my hair started breaking badly after trying to retouch my hair. Also, after getting it blow-dried and flat-ironed, some pieces became permanently straight!

I plan to get this look again....but next time I'm to a professional and hopefully I'll find some straightening techniques w/o the use of heat!

Also, I may look into a texturizer instead.

You can get a similar effect by using a mild relaxer. At least that's what I did when I was relaxed. I could wash my hair, apply some frizz serum and let it air dry = curls and waves. ( I have a pic in my album). Whichever chemical you use, be sure to take EXTRA care with your hair...baby it.

Check out jazma.com. They have a video of the technique if you want to purchase it. Depending on where you live, you may be able to go to a salon that has trained with Jazma. Also, do a search on here. A couple of ladies were discussing it about 2-3 months ago.

From what I remember it was a texturizer but it was applied to cleaned or freshly washed hair. There was a special cleaner they used to clean the hair with.

Yes, it sounds like you're referring to a texturizer. Any relaxer will work as long as you get the strength and timing correct for YOUR hair. Everyone is different.
