Wand Curls On Natural Hair?

Anyone ever tried?

Technique? I imagine you must have to blow dry first then wand.

I haven't done it yet, my hair is too short. But I came in to say that this is one beautiful style that I LOVE on natural hair. It looks best on hair that's been blown out or definitely stretched. I love a fluffy head of wand curls. So pretty!

Gorgeous. I love these curls and agree they probably look better on stretched hair but would work well either way. You also can get them without direct heat by using rods or rollers starting at your scalp and curling from root to tip.

Idk. I always have issues getting these curly styles to last. I'd definitely want to try for a special event.

I think so. Just use like flax seed or some sort of light gel or setting lotion over your leave-in.

I have fine strands at the top of ny head and med density. I love the look on these ladies but an attempt on myself definitely would not look as lush. A girl can dream though....or wear a wig

I have done wand curls twice, though I didn't use one of the tapered wands. I literally just turned my regular curling iron upside down and wrapped my hair from the top down without using the clamp.
I did them on old twist-outs and they lasted through a couple of nights dancing nonstop at the club, which is really impressive considering no other hairstyles I do can withstand that sort of humidity. My hair still looked pretty fresh at the end of the night, but I had no idea how to preserve the curls.

I love wand curls, I do them on blow dried hair but they only last about 2 days! How do I get them to last?

They are pretty, but for me, a good day is all I got out of them. I stretched my hair by using the tension blow drying method. That night I put my hair in a pineapple. I had to touch up quite a few the next day. I used the Remington wand that Meechy Monroe used in her tutorial. My curls are in my avatar pic.
