Are any of you waiting for that special day when you wear you hair down/reach your goal and you family and friends are all floored with how much it has grown?
Anybody in particular u wanna show your new length off to? Just curious.
Can't wait for my next reunion! I'm going JUST to show off my hair!! (Well, there are a couple of cousins I do look forward to seeing and the trip itself should be awesome.) I tried to tell people in my family about hair boards and they didn't respond too well. So, it will be nice to have bra-strap to waist length hair by next summer! Oh and my old job, they REALLY thought I was whacky
(with all of my supplements and oils) and one woman who had a son my age was so triflin she had the nerve to put her hands through my hair to feel for tracks! This was last year and it wasn't as if my hair was real long, just longer than hers. Nothing I would have been jealous over, but you never know about people. She then told me after she knew it was real, that I would have to have a lot of it cut off! Oh I am going to LOVE swingin a fresh rollerset in her face!

Oh yeah I know exactly what you are talking about. I make sure it's in a bun or covered around certain people. Then BAM
Nai, where did all that hair come from??

I have done that around family before when my hair was past my shoulders. Their jaws dropped to the floor. It was so funny! Sometimes they are jealous and don't give any compliments at all!
I can't wait to just show everyone.especially my mother in law to be. She thinks my hair is to thick. My fiance who talks about my hair clubs finally acknowledged my hair is growing.
When I had to cut all my hair off due to relaxer damage last summer, I promised that I would spend the next two years taking care of my hair so that I would love it on my 21st birthday. Its become really important to me. I have eleven more months to go, but I feel like I have already made good progress. -Ashley
my mom who told me I need to" stop putting all that sh** in my hair" and go see her stylist! and who also told me I was crazy for airdrying my hair and washing and spritzing it so much then recently turned around and started doing it! the last 3 times I saw her she had her hair up in airdried protective braid styles like me! (shes the bone straight, gotta be swingin, no new roots showing type) hmmmm.... her hair used to be easily longer than mine and I told her I was in a quest to grow my hair. then she saw me fresh after my last touch up and I think she realized I was passing her. I think as far as she is concerned the race is on!
