You should know.... I hate to break it to y'all.... My hair FELL and SWELLED!:sad::cry3:

I'm ok.... lesson learned. I guess my hair needs to be pressed. But it looked SO pretty as she was blowing it out.... It's over now though. After church, it started snowing BIG FLAKES and my hair got snow on it.... Sigh....

I've already scouted out some of the "naturals who press" threads for help. But I don't plan to straighten that often...but it was real nice to see the progress....

How often do you plan on blowing it out/straightening?

Well, I did have a good straightening experience but I figured out that I need to get a press so it will stay longer than a couple of hours. So I will straighten every once in a while (only in the cooler months). So maybe one more time before spring and then will hold off until October or November.

Is that real progress, y'all?

yes ma'am it certainly is progress!!

the trouble with us natural chicks is that it's soooooooo hard to actually SEE just how much progress unless we blow out or straighten it e'ery now and then :ohwell:. of course you can get a general idea by stretching it down to <insert body part> but it's just not quite the same.

that's why i think it's a good idea to blow it out or straighten instead of feeling all down in the funk cause you can't really see your progress, ya know? hey, it's better than cruising those relaxer aisles.

anyways............girl, have you really LOOKED at where you came from to where you are now? (try looking at it from a strangers pov!) no brainer, that's some progress - be proud of yourself!!

i'm with you with the blowing out/flatironing and all...........it'll be a few months before i do it again (if at all) and fuggetaboutit in the warmer months. i say, if you're gonna be "naughty", be naughty in moderation :grin:, whatever it takes to keep yourself on course!
