Tee--Are you from New York? Where did you buy this?

[/ QUOTE ]

No, I'm not in New York. I bought it in a grocery store (Kroger's) for $3.19. Check your grocery stores for it. I noticed that Rite-Aid and other drugstores are charging close to $6 for it.

Re: very impressed with L\'oreal Smooth Intense Ser

Girl, I went all out! I got the L'oreal serum, the Clairol Herbal Essences Intensive Blends Conditioning Balm, the Clairol HE Intensive Blends shampoo and conditioner, Paul Mitchel's Super Charged Conditioner, (now this puppy was expensive, it better work well!) and I got some new Body Washes from St. Ives, (they smelled so good I couldn't pass them up), and a few other nick-nacks! I also purchased some color rinses by Adore, Sienna Brown, Copper Brown, and Paprika. This way, I can try some new things during the month when I start to get antsy about buying something new. I'm all set for the month!

Hello ladies:

Words can't express how beautiful my hair looks right now!!!!

I was due for a touch-up this weekend because I usually get it done every 6 weeks. This time I couldn't because I was on my way to NJ that same Saturnday morning that I had my appointment.

Late Friday night, I decided to go to Brooks to see if I could find it. I did!

I washed my hair, then conditioned it, then applied the serum to my wet hair. I then roller-set and sat under the dryer for 1 hour.

Can you just imagin my surprise when I pulled out the rollers? It was so late at night and I was so drowsy, so I just wrapped my hair, put on a silk scarf then went to bed. Now the real shock came when I combed my hair out right before I left for my trip!!!

I am not lying when I tell you that my hair looks and feels like I just got a relaxer!

Now this is the catch.

A week ago, I tried the hennalucent treatment for the first time. It loosened the new growth, but I didn't really see any major difference in my hair, but I didn't mind because so many posters would say that you would really see good results after a few more applications.

I am wondering if my hair looks incredible because of the hennalucent and now this product, or was it just this product alone.

Has anyone here used this product that has never tried hennalucent, but got such great results? I'm thinking that the answer is yes.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT!

By the way, my hair is also very bouncy. It not only looks like I got a touch-up, it also feels like it.

Re: very impressed with L\'oreal Smooth Intense Serum!

I spotted this hair care product in Wal-Mart. It's $5.64. They also have the shampoo and the conditioner. Remember, in the U.S. it's listed as L'Oreal Vive (L'Oreal Elvive in Paris).

Girl, you know I'm doing the May Challenge (and so is Miss Pebbles). I know I will NOT be buying any hair care products during the month of May. Oh, and I'm keeping an eye out on Pebbles.

Re: very impressed with L\'oreal Smooth Intense Serum!

Well fortunately, I bought this L'Oreal serum and a lot of other goodies before the start of the challenge, so I'm feeling o.k.

Re: very impressed with L\'oreal Smooth Intense Serum!

the conditioner is good but pantene s and s provides more slip and softness so no added advantage with loreal.

i love the 'intense' orange color of the new range though, very attractive and a PJ magnet!

Re: very impressed with L\'oreal Smooth Intense Serum!

Oh!---- my----Gosh
shocked.gif
, I went and bought it at walgreens(buy 1-get 1 free)yesterday (
look.gif
huh.gif
don't give me that look, you guys, I am not a PJ, I have a simple hair routine-like you can see on the page of feature of the month of April- that's why I am not part of the PJ challenge for the month of May
naughty.gif
,
so I am allowed to buy
smile.gif
. Zanna, stop giving yourself so many excuses
whyme.gif
nobody really cares

)

So anyway, I washed my hair applyed the Smooth intense serum, and my hair was soft right a way. I let my hair air dry, applyed light oil to my hair like usual, and made the Bantu knots like usual, and this morning, oh mmy Gosh!
shocked.gif
, I thought that my hair was soft before, now it's silky and shinny, and bouncy. I love it. It is definitly a keeper.
Sincerely
Zanna

Re: very impressed with L\'oreal Smooth Intense Serum!

I bought it last night, and I appied it to my hair before wrapping it. I was upset cause my hair looked oily. I just unwrapped my hair this morning and its greaseless and soft.

Mirrormirror and Zanna:

YES, the incredible softness without my hair feeling greasy is why I love this product!!!

I was so sure that my hair would turn out greasy, because it does feel like oil when you put it in your hands, but the next day, your hair is shiny, clean looking, and full of bounce.

Now this is definitely one product I will not go without. I think I will use it after every wash the last 2 weeks before every touch-up!

I really liked this product, so I looked up camelina sativa seed oil, its good stuff.

Camelina Oil
“Gold of Pleasure“ (Camelina Sativa Seed Oil)

Camelina Oil, also known as “Gold of Pleasure“ oil is a unique vegetable oil with a high Omega-3 content suitable for a variety of skin care and nutraceutical applications (soft gels). Camelina oil exhibits good emollient properties, and is rich in ALA (Alpha Linoleic Acid, 18:3 n-3), an Essential Fatty Acid (EFA) typically found in fish oils which is responsible for good cellular health.

. Oh well, I'm gonna be good and stick to my guns. However, come 1 June, I getting this and I will be posting my review as well

Re: very impressed with L\'oreal Smooth Intense Serum!

After reading your post I decided to buy this stuff last night. Well, it worked like a charm. I only used the serum. I'll definitely go back for the poo and conditioner.

My hair was really soft with a little bit of shine afterward. Along with my daily rinse I'll definitely keep this in my hair regimen.

Re: very impressed with L\'oreal Smooth Intense Serum!

Your review sounds pretty darn good Zanna. Since we're hair twins, I'm pretty sure I'll get good results as well. I am on the May Challenge (even though I am not a PJ). I'll buy it some time in June or later (especially since I'm doing a good job at using up the serum I currently have - Smooth 'N Shine Ultra Light Polish).

Re: very impressed with L\'oreal Smooth Intense Serum!

I finally got my hands on some!
I used it on my lil sis's hair (who is currently transitioning, she has 3 inches of new growth, 3b/cMii) and normally i'll rollerset her hair or bantu twist it,, but we did a blow out so she would be able to wear her hair out.. YES!!!
first i applied a hot oil to her hair for 15 mins rinsed used CON 2x's, used aphogee2 min reconstructor, then the Smooth intense condit (which detangled her hair like a charm) and finished off with the serum.
her hair was swinging and seriously shiney, i could hardly hold her hair!
shocked.gif
that's how smooth it was. She was soo excited to finally wear her hair out, and she told me how many compliments she received in school and even my mom and sis gave me a thumbs up!!!
i'm going and buying 4 more serums at the 2 for 1 sale and 2 more condits.. I have not used them personally but i can vouch for my lil sis's experience!!!

Re: very impressed with L\'oreal Smooth Intense Serum!

I bought this product yesterday at Wal-mart. I must say this product is great my hair was soft and manageable, even air dried without being frizzy. Thanks so much for finding this product, IT IS A KEEPER!
