I was wondering if anyone uses their cheapie conditioners like VO5/Suave as a cowash and also as their leave in and how it has worked out for them . Please note if you add oils or anything else to the bottle.

I've used my Aussie Moist conditioner as a leave-in. It was $5 for the economy size at Target. I used it as a last resort because when I was beginning my transition, my hair was SOOOO dry. I splashed a bit of water on my hair, then applied my conditioner. My hair was so soft! I was so relieved.

I did this with Trader Joe Nourish spa. Didn't dilute or mix it with anything. Used it as is.
Same with Bedhead Moisture Maniac

I use Suave Coconut for my co washes. I don't dilute it or add anything. Just slap it on and rinse after a few minutes while in the shower.

i use a mixture of hawaiin silky, water, and treseme moisturizing conditioner in a spray bottle as my leave in, i also spritz my hair with it every morning. i use aussie moist, HE in the blue bottle(forgot name), garnier, or treseme for cowashs.

When I cowash, I always add olive and coconut oil(lots) to my beloved Suave Tropical Coconut conditioner. I put the 3 ingredients in a plastic bowl, mix and apply. I also use these 3 + a tsp of Cantu Shea Butter as my leave in.

i use aussie moist on most days to cowash since i cowash daily... i use a aloe vera suave/vo5(whatever i have on hand) glycerin wheat germ oil and water mix every night

i will use aussie moist (my fave) to cowash, leave-in and put in a spritz bottle w/ water & oil...sometimes i do the same with Herbal Essences Hellow Hydration and totally twisted...VO5 & suave naturals condishes are too watery for me to co-wash with, but i found a spritz recipe on curlynikki that called for VO5 or suave & i used suave coconut and i loved it

I use Pantene (for relaxed and naturals) I rinse it and reapply (don't know why, but this is how i like to use it:)) -- I use a couple of other products for the wet curly look.

I don't use any silcones at all and I, typically, use TJ nourish as my leave in; however, I love my VO5 moisture milks so much (and it's cheap) that I thought about using it as a leave in.

i'll use ausie moist if i'm gonna cowash the next day.
the other cheapies are too thin for me to leave in.

most days I use a mix of 2 or 3 conditioners along with some juice. I'm planning to replace the juice with shea butter when the summer is over.
