I finished a jar of Shea what and started a new one. Wanted to open a jar of vanilla silk, but seems that is not going to work out right now. Just in case, I put one in the shower for next wash day and plan to use that up by the end of the month.

1. What are your motivations for joining this challenge?
I want to minimize my stash but actually use up the stuff that's in my cabinet, I want to give everything in my stash a fair trial and I want lock down my staples. I want to get rid of my older products and try some new ones also revisiting a few old favourites. I'm focusing on using up the non-staples.

4. What are your goal(s) for the session
Session 1 Jan-Apr: I've realised that my stash has diminished somewhat (at this rate I'm gonna get myself kicked out the challenge ) I've made a recent purchase of cheap lines I wanted to try which is the only reason I have so much What this means to me is that last year was not in vain and I hit a good few of my challenge goals. There are lots of products I still want to try so I'll be adding them to my stash at a rate of 1 per month. I feel like I'm in a good place with my stash and have really locked down some staples although some of your stashes have got me drooling, I will not lie What I would really like are a few holy grails.

How did you use the SM Purification Masque?

I also use it as a co cleanser. My other use for it is as a pre-shampoo treatment because it has crazy slip and that makes it an amazing detangler.

I went wig shopping yesterday and bought a few things. They had my 4 naturals leave-in which I use on my scalp I bought 2 bottles because this isn't sold anywhere anymore as far as I can tell. I can get it on Amazon but the shipping is ridiculous.

I also bought a natural pomade with some really good ingredients. I bought a wig, a wig head and some thinning shears.

I'm washing today but don't think I am going to use up anything. I am going to wig it this week, so hopefully I can wash more often and use up some things. Will see how that works out.

Used up the sample of DAX Bergamot. I think I like it. I used the SM Restorative Conditioner as a leave-in and I like it. So I put the Beautiful Curls back in the giveaway box.

Gave the Giovanni Anti-Dandruff Shampoo 25% of 8.5 oz to my DH to keep in his gym bag. Its off my hands now.

I also used up some samples from my CurlKit boxes.

Used up a number of things this wash/spa night. I started at 11:30 pm so definitely a spa night.

- used up Bask Whiskey Soak: love it, love it, love it, but love the CJ Repair Me more. The Repair Me also works better with my updated regimen. No backups, not a repurchase in the near future.

- used up TJ TTTT: staple detangling, co-washing, part of co-cleansing (to be) mix; 10 left

- non hair use up: Oyin Fizzy Bath Soak. Liked it a lot, but not a repurchase; will make my own in the near future. Pulled out bath salt soak I bought in HI last year. Looking forward to trying it.

- non hair use up: Bask Cocoa Nibs Body Scrub. Opened up Bask Lemon Beignet Body Scrub.

Wasn't on my use up list but I gave a few products away to my stepdaughter because she wanted her own stash for her bathroom instead of always in my bathroom looking through my stuff. I like all the products except maybe 2 but her hair loves them...especially the conditioners.

Try mixing it with your deep conditioners. It stretches them out and helps increase slip. I flipping LOVE the stuff.

Used up Giovanni 2chic- not a repurchase for me. I also purchased Eco styler gel (med sized jar) to use to style my twists. I guess this will be my monthly hair care purchase pass.

Ogoma. I didn't like the smell of that one. The one I used up is the Brazilian keratin one. It was okay, but I like some of my other products better and I want to only repurchase staple items so I can minimize my stash.

Sally's has a buy one get one on all hair products. It was this close... but I talked myself down. I am going to renew my membership and get my free product though. And the only other stuff I'm buying this weekend is for my wig.
