Updos for long individual braids - Can you help?

Okay, I put my braids back in this weekend. Set # 2. I found the Afrelle hair.

Anyway, I braided them a little thicker and a lot longer this time. It took me 8 packs of hair, and about 18 hours to braid. Yes, I'm slow. /images/graemlins/tongue.gif

What I need now is some up do ideas for my braids. They are thick and long. I didn't cut any of the braid hair this time, I just braided. The braid lengths range from bra strap to (my big) booty-length.

Do any of you long, thick-haired ladies have any ideas for hairstyle I can wear to a couple of semi formal holiday parties in a couple of weeks?

Any and all help is accepted.

Can't think of anything, let alone describe it!!
But you can cheat a bit and spy on what people with locks do: on websites, in magazines etc. They have awesome updos sometimes.
