UPDATE: Progress and my first Dominican Blow out (lots of pics)

Morning ladies,

I finally decided to get my hair blown out after 8 months of going all natural. I searched online for the perfect salon, I'm from the DMV area (DC, MD, VA) I picked a salon called Sintia's Dominican Salon in Landover, MD...I was thinking about going Saturday but after speaking with a good friend she recommended I go to the salon she normally goes to which happens to be right up the street from my job...so I went. It was just "ok"...lol, I didn't have a bad expierence there, but I won't be going back the next time I decide to get my hair blown out. My hair turned out lovely though. Ok I'm done typin cause I know you ladies want to see pics...lol

Yesterday...my hair is longer in the back.

I rolled it up on soft rollers before I went to bed...this morning I took them out and the curls were tight...I liked it

I expected it to be so much more than what it was...idk. They spoke spanish the whole time I was there and barely spoke to me. The only time she asked me something was when she was about to Flat Iron my hair. Also I noticed they didn't really use Dominican products on my hair.

Thank you, btw I noticed that it is longer than it was in May when I posted the pic this morning...I'd just rather go to a different salon the next time, they didn't make me feel "welcomed" (if that makes any kind of sense) They weren't rude or nasty or anything like that though. I'd just rather go somewhere else, that's all.

Thank you. I transitioned for 4 months before I BC'd

Thanks ! I wash my face with Dove soap and water. And I drink lots of water too, that's mainly it.

Looks like I'll have to up my water intake.
I've dealt with acne all my life, I think that's why I focused in on your skin lol. Your hair looks gorgeous too though. Great progress!
