Update fotki apl

Hello ladies I have been a member 2 and 1/2 years, maybe it was being lazy with my hair or busy from school and work but my hair has finally made apl, when I started my hair was shoulder length.

My main problem with my hair has been not moisturizing everyday and getting lazy and going 2 weeks without washing + conditioning but hopefully now that I am graduated I will have a more consistant schedule.

Well anyway I have updated my fotki and I would love to hear feed back/ advice on how to stay consistant with a regimine.

Your hair is beautiful!! So it really took 2.5 years to get from SL to APL?? That is discouraging. But... your hair looks longer than APL. Is your reggie still the same as in your Fotki Journal? I just added you as a friend. You need to be my mentor until I reach APL. I need help!!!

awww thank you I really apreciate that!!! Don't be discoraged I really think it took me so long because I did not have a consistant regimine other than DCing and Henna, even that was not as consistant as it could have been. Also haven't been taking my vitamins in forever. I will pm you though.

My advice on how to stick to a regimen would be to keep it interesting. I know it's important to be consistent with products, but I seriously buy a new DC or moisterizer every month! (in addition to the ones I already have Haha! I just think that variety keeps me from getting bored. Wigs, acessories, products, and progress pics keep me on my reggie.

I think that your progress so far moore.1506 has been great. Remember, it's not a question of if or how much your hair grew during that year and a half so much as it is how much of that hair did you retain.

I understand that you haven't been moisturizing it consistently and honestly that is one of the main reasons why we don't retain as much hair as desire among other reasons of course. Try moisturizing on a more consistent schedule, say a minimum of at least 4 days a week for starters.

You may even try baggying your ends under a bun or a wig on a daily basis. Another way to save time is to sleep with a whole head baggy nightly or perhaps 3 nights a week.

If you haven't tried porosity control conditioner, you may want to give it a whirl as well. It helps your hair to retain moisture and corrects the pH of porous hair seeing that you relax your hair.

Good luck achieving all your hair goals and HHG.

Maybe write it down so you can see what you are supposed to be doing when.

I do my friend's hair and I e-mail her and myself the dates I did her relaxer, her trim, her two-step so I know when it needs to be done again.

I agree with another poster that said keep it interesting.

Use products that smell good, they'll make you excited to use them.

If you slack a bit, don't just give up. Start again.

If you're regimen is a pain, or takes too long to do, then see what steps you can eliminate or change so it doesn't make you feel like it's a hassle to do it.

Look at your own progress pics to help you see that what you're doing is getting you where you want to be, and look at others' progress pics to keep you motivated.

Great idea varity will help keep it intresting only unfortunate thing is that money is low but I think I will start with all those wonderful smelling chepie conditioners
