Michelle Hall and her UPA clip on Judge Joe Brown.

I have had some pretty horrible experiences with this company and a quick search on LHCF or BHM will see that others have also.

The UPA clip is a great concept but the customer service is horrible. In this case the defendant (Michelle) prevailed, but in my mind she is still a horrible business person.

Yeah I had problems with her shipping cause whn I ordered mine it took 2 months to get it. I almost forgot I ordered anything, and for as expensive as they r it sucks that she has soo many problems getting her ish together. Unfortunately though, I love the product and will be buying another one cause its tht good. What problems did u have op?

She is a very poor communicator. Does not respond to emails in a timely manner and makes promises she doesn't keep and has excuses for why emails aren't responded to and why the the wrong product was shipped.

It's taken me months to receive her product. Sometimes it's what I ordered other times it wasn't.

Overall it IS a good concept and the clips are cute, but the without exception there is always drama.

I posted a comment on the YT video and received this response from the UPA Clip owner (at least I think its her)

@ladominicana2011 Keep reading, you will find many many more compliments on longhaircareforum then complaints. It is impossible to keep everyone happy. But we do go out of our way to try.

Fair enough I guess. I've never bought anything from her so I have nothing to add.

I ordered from her about 4 years ago. The customer service was normal and I didn't experience any delay and I was in Iraq at the time.

The last time I ordered I said never ever again. But... the clips are so darn cute (when you actually get them and if they are the texture and colored specified in my order). Maybe if I have nothing better to do with my money and I accept the fact that it may take MONTHS to receive the product and I might have to send email after email after email with no response and when I finally get a response it will be some excuse as to how it somehow the fault of a phantom employee, I might just shell out my hard earned money and buy another one.

ETA: Who is doing cute faux ponytails now since the UPA Clip is no longer available? I would like to make one with some kinky straight hair to match my blow dried hair.

I was an active member when she first joined and she made a post asking to send two little girls a UPA clip so we can post pics. I was selected as well as another lady on the board. She basically lied and said she mailed the clip to my house which in fact she did not then she stated she was going to mail another one which she never did. This lady is a liar. Karma is real. Words were exchanged on here about her clips. Ha! I'm sure the post is around here somewhere. Just have to dig em up out the archives.
 
AtlantaJJ Wow. I didn't realize she was out of business. Her website is gone. I did like her product. My issue was the price and hair quality. I did use the clip to make my own. I guess I need to hold on to that clip. I tried to find other clips but they just weren't as sturdy as hers.

Keen I still have my old clips too. Looks like I'll be using it to make my own as well. She had a great product in that clip!
 
I ordered from her many years ago, never had any issue.

I think a lot of these small hair business owners get in over their heads and can't keep up with demand
