LADIES!!!!! does your hair grow unevenly??? Mine does!!! GAHHHH! Does it ever catch up? My sides have always grown faster than the rest of my hair. so it looks like pacman decided to bite my hair!:ohwell:

I hate having to cut it even....should I just wait it out and see if it catches up???

what were your experiences?

So sorry to hear that lady, mine is the exact same way! :nono:...I don't bother to trim it even anymore because no matter what I do, my left side outgrows my right...I wear buns or roller sets mostly so it isn't as noticeable but trust me I feel your pain. Hopefully you find a solution. I myself have given up the fight, but if u find something that works let me know...lol!

my hair grows in layers. they can all measure the same length, but the layers are still there. i have one side that grows thicker and one side that grows longer. it has forever been that way.

I pretty much stop trying to even out my hair as well since my right side grows faster than my left plus my tail (v-shape) also keeps coming back as well.

My hair doesn't grow evenly either. I trimmed it a few times trying to even it out, but realized I was wasting time and length. I don't wear my hair straight often anyway so it isn't a big deal for me as far as the way it looks. Even on the rare occasions I decide to wear it straight, I'll just have uneven hair.

my sides grow faster than the crown and nape...the right side grows faster than the left.....

i don't even try anymore. :lachen: i let it be.

My right side grows faster. I trim the left side 1/2 inch every 3 months and then even out the right. As a result, the ends on the right side are usually get thicker/ healthier a lot faster than the left. But, I always even it out b/c it looks better. IMO having uneven hair just takes away from the beauty of a healthy head.

Yep I have the same problem with the sides growing longer than crown and nape. My length is always on my sides and not so much in the back. When I tried to transition, I saw that the side hair and crown and nape in the back were two entirely different types of hair. The back hair gave me grief. So I have thrown in the towel with trying to keep it the same because my back hair is just not going to keep up with the sides no matter how much I even out. I will just have my natural angled bob.

My left side is longer than the right and on top of that my whole head grows in layers. I spent the first 2yrs of my journey trying to make my hair conform. It was a long hard battle and I'm not embarrass to say I lost. Now I just let it do what it do.

My left side constantly grows longer, is more resilient and silkier. It's frustrating that I always have to cut it back to keep in line with the right side, which is coarser yet breaks more easily.

I am convinced that me wearing my bag on right shoulder and seatbelt on that side (UK) also has something to do with the breakage on that side though.

Thank you ladies for your responsessssss!!!! I'm just gonna leave it be and play it by ear I suppose.....Hopefully it will all catch up one day....

How have you been PSing? I was having the same problem as well, but then I found out through trial and error that excessive use of ponytail holders, metal clips and scrunchies to make tight ponys and updos were the main culprits for me in causing breakage and thinning along the back and crown, which left the hair on my sides up to 3" longer at one point than the hair in the back.

Once I learned how to make buns without ponytailholders, donuts or closed bobby pins (basically anything that could catch, snag or pull on my hair in any way) the unevenness was dramatically reduced. Now I have an even, uniform hemline all around my head, and my crown has greatly improved in thickness and length. Sometimes it's the little things you don't think of that can make all the difference. :yep:

my right side is thicker than my left. my temples grow real fast and i always have to cut of an inch to even it up like every other month. i have a pic of my from when i was younger and i had braids with beads on the end and both of my sides go all the way down the my chest while the rest of my hair is on my shoulders. its real funny looking lol
