under processing driving me crazy

I was wondering does waiting 3 months to get a relaxer causes a higher chance of having underprocessed hair?Because I had 2 relaxers in the last 6 months using a lye relaxer and in both instances my hair came out underprocssed now I am considering going back to 8 weeks post relaxer to get my touch-ups

What type of relaxer did you use?

textures and tones lye relaxer at first my hsir loked great then after a coupple of ashes my hair had soo much new growth.

I think it possibly can. It all depends on how much new growth you have and whether or not your stylist is skipping spots out of laziness. Timing also plays a factor. I know with me, it was time to wash the perm out before I had a chance to get it all over my roots good enough.
