My SO sister uses this product line called UNA by ROLLAND. I used it to do her hair and boy I loved the way it turned out! She purchased it from her dominican beautician in NY. Unfortunately, she is having problems getting more of the product from her beautician.

The product is made in Italy, but I can not find it anywhere in the US to purchase. Has anyone heard of this product and know where to get it?

atl, which products did she use. it looks like it's a large line. :)

Honeyd, thanks for posting this site.

Thanks atlien. Btw, I didn't realize there were 2 atliens on the forum. :)

As a true pj I am made weak by this thread. I was only contemplating these products on ibeautyny and now I fear I must try. Okay, I will resist until 2007.

:lachen: You and me both...that's why I bumped this thread. Something about those drops and the moisturizing mask is really tempting me  .

Just looking at these products make me want to try. There are a few places that I don't have staples...well like everywhere except for conditioner

I'm bumping this thread. I used this today at the Domincan salon and would like to know if anyone has had good experience with this. I told the lady I was having a lot of shedding and she recommended this. So far so good, I have been running my hands through my hair all day and nothing, we'll see what happens tommorrow. Supposedly this is suppose to prolong the life of the hair bulb. By the way I used the oxygenating treatment.

You can get it from a salon in atl called Lilys. There a dominican spot that sells it as well as online at ibeautyny.

Mirror Image salon in NY carries this. Actually, I've noticed MANY Dominican salons that are using UNA now. My stylist recommended it the other day (the oxygenating treatment to massage into my scalp).

Will let you know how I like it :D .

Also, for more UNA information, here's the website: www.rolland.it

Bumping for more PJs to give updates.....
or make purchase and then give updates. :)

HA! I ain't mad!

I've been using the oxygenating treatment for about 3 weeks now. I really like it, because it leaves a cool menthol feeling and it has plenty of good ingredients (castor oil, eucalyptus, etc.). I'm not sure if it's doing much, but I like massaging this in my scalp because it doesn't weigh down my hair like other oils. Also got it real cheap from my hairdresser, so I had to try it :look:

It's too early to tell if it does things like "prolong the hair grow phase" which who even knows if that's possible. I do know that for 18+ weeks post, my shedding is minimal...I noticed it yesterday when I went to do a rolllerset. Not sure if that's the reason though.

I'll take pics in February, to see if I notice anything special :D

What salon do you go to and where is it located?

Hey!

Mirror Image is on located on Columbus Ave, between 110th and 109th streets. They're stocked with these products. They even have the UNA leave-in as one of their regulars now.

I've also seen UNA at a salon on 127th & Frederick Douglas? I gotta get the name and address, but I have a friend that goes there.

Oh cool. I live on 121st now. I'll have to check out Mirror Image. Thanks! I'll probably still go to Yanira's in the Bronx for my texturizer, but someplace closer for a wash and set would be great. Amanda at Yanira's uses a leave-in by Una I believe.

Thanks for the info. A lot of the products from the line seem interesting. I am looking for super moisturizing formulas for when I straighten my hair.

Any NY ladies have seen this recently? My salon sells the hair mask and I love it but its kinda pricey for a small size and my SIL is telling me about the oxygenating treatment too. TIA

Went to Roland site and sent them an email requesting the list of outlets that carry their products in NYC. Will let you know when I find out.
