Need advice on applying Affirm Relaxer

I have watched my beautician apply Affirm Relaxer for over a year now, and I now want to apply it myself. I need the help of those who apply the relaxer. I know that my beautician uses the one for dry and sensitive scalp and it comes in the 9 pack. What I want to know, is it necessary to get the normalizing shampoo, the conditioner, 5 in 1, etc. or can I use what I have in my closet. I can never see everything she uses, because she keeps the bottles turned in the opposite direction. Please advise.
