using conditioner to wash your hair instead of shampoo. its supposedly less harsh on your hair cause it doesnt strip all the oils out of your hair and its moisturizes your hair more. its does clean your hair however but the cleansers are more gentler and not as strong

Cowashing is when you condition your hair without having washed it first. A lot of ladies use this technique. I did too...and my hair thrived when I first went natural...now it's too much to bother with. However, if I was relaxed I would still be doing it.

If you have other questions about terms or basic techniques you should try using the search feature. There is a wealth of information. The LHCF search feature doesn't work but you can use the advanced search feature on google.com and search the longhaircareforum.com website.
