My hair needs it every three days.

No mushiness, as I mix protein and moisture.

No tangles while stretching, as I apply it like a relaxer and rinse in the shower, no manipulation. Then scarf and wet bun.

Brilliant idea. It was a disaster for me when my hair was thinner, it made me lose a lot of hair and made it even weaker. My hair is much thicker now so I might start co-washing again because I'm getting overwhelmed with my hair these days.

I tried this and it worked fine with my relaxed hair but my transitioning hair is too thick. My hair is not dry from washing it yesterday. It was 94 degrees here today.

I was ok cowashing maybe two or three times a week. The problem came into play when i started getting cowash happy and started doing it everyday:nono:. My hair was totally overmoistorized.

I cowash pretty much exclusively, instead of shampooing. I cowash usaually 1, to maybe 2 times per week and normally wash n go, but I have been bunning lately. Oh and my hair is thick and natural, I find that more frequent cowashes don't allow the natural oils to settle in my hair. I think it looks and feels the best a few days after I cowash.

When I tried cowashing everyday I got massive single strand knots and had to trim my hair. I just wet my hair daily and I have no more problems that way. That daily cowashing was too much for my hair. I cowash my hair maybe twice a week and have no problems anymore.

I've never cowashed daily..don't see any reason to with my hair. I cowash maybe 2-3 x's a week. Every time I wash whether it be con or poo I detangle so it helps with keeping knots down. And my hair feels nice after using my conditioner and smells good. I only poo once a week so if my hair feels dirty or I get sweaty hair or product buildup b4 it's time for another poo wash. I just cowash. My hair is still clean, but minus the stripping effect of many shampoos. My hair loves it.

I don't like co-washing. My hair and my scalp just don't feel clean if I co-wash. I've tried it plenty of times and its not for me; I would shed hair if i co-washed but if i shampoo and DC frequently i wouldn't have this problem. I've been unofficially on the DC every other day challenge and I shampoo every other day followed by a DC and Im loving it; my hair feels healthier and more moisturized when i put conditioner on clean hair.

i loved cowashing when i was natural! i cowashed almost everyday and my hair was awesome. now that i'm relaxed and transitioning, i haven't been cowashing regularly. i just hate dealing with the relaxed hair so much that i only wash once every 7-10 days. i'm gonna try cowashing and see if my hair is easier to handle.

I have very fine, soft strands and I started co-washing every other day for about 6 weeks with either Suave or VO5. After co-washing I would put my hair in one braid at the nape and tuck it under into a bun. I loved the co-washing, but I was beginning to get breakage in the center back because I didn't vary the style. I am now wearing braids in the Hide Your Hair for 6 Months challenge, and I co-wash 2-3x a week. I shampoo once a week with some stuff I have from MyHoney Child that I'm trying to use up. I'm a little concerned with build up, but I still have about three weeks before I take the braids down, so we'll see how my regimen held up with braids.

I do the hardcore Aphogee treatments a couple of times a year and I haven't experienced any feeling of mushiness. Co-washing has worked well for me in the warmer months, but I'll need to figure out something else when the weather changes.

I have fine hair and I am addicted to daily co-washing. After every co-wash, I check the condition of my hair to determine if it needs a moisturizing conditioner (B&B w/castor) or something w/a little protein (MNT). Afterwards I seal with castor oil.

I have been doing this for about a year and I am able to do this daily because I wear my hair in a pony tail to work. If I were to style it daily, I don't think I could do it.

During the Xmas holidays, I stayed w/my Mom and couldnt co-wash daily. I was styling my hair ( w/my new CHI  ) and we were constantly on the go. My hair was a mess for those 10 days.

This works for me. Good luck...:yep:

Are you combing it daily, too? That's a lot of manipulating for a fine-haired beauty such as yourself.

When I did co wash daily, it was a bit much manipulation then my hair liked.. plus I detangled also... lesson learned :yep:

In 2009 I have retained the most length than I ever had in my entire life. I really believe a combination of cowashing and PS did the trick. I love a cowash! Can't wait until the summer until I can cowash more frequently.

I co-wash 1-2 times per week... I also use protein (light-medium) weekly so I don't have any problems with overmoisturization. My hair is healthier than it's been in a long time and I credit a lot of that to co-washing

I started hitting the gym pretty hard and started co washing my hair 3x a week. This is the first time co-washing so much I will do a light protein treatment weekly to keep the balance

I shampoo, detangle and co-wash daily (not in that order, LOL!). I have done so relaxed, texlaxed and natural. My hair and scalp love it. I can barely make it three days without a wash. I should add a disclaimer: I have lots of thick 3c/4a strands, which may play a role in why the manipulation doesn't cause set backs.
