I work in a dry environment that is not climate controlled. I am having a terrible time trying to keep my hair moisturized. I normally use S-Curl. I tried Motions Weightless Clear hairdressing but neither of them seem to be able to keep up. What can I use that is very moisturizing and has staying power?

Are you sealing with oil after spraying with s-curl, to keep the moisture in?
I started doing it with castor oil, and my dryness problem is history!

Deep conditioning a couple of times a week will also help your hair with moisture.

I use either NTM Silk touch leave in sealed with EVOO and/or Castor oil (just on ends if combining with EVOO.)
Every since I started using EVOO and Castor oil, my hair stays soft and moisturized during the day, I'm always on the go so I am in and out of too humid or extra dry environments.

Hm I had stopped sealing with Castor Oil and switched to Aphogee Essential oils because I was post relaxer (I hate it when things weigh down my freshly relaxed hair) but maybe I should go back to it?

I say give castor oil a try again...if you don't use too much, it won't weigh your hair down at all. I started using it the week after my relaxer and haven't had any problems.
If you feel it's too heavy, you can always mix it with a lighter oil, like almond or grapeseed. :yep: HTH!

I work in an extremely drying environment, also. I have taken to doing little moisture touch-ups during my shifts. I always tap my ends, edges, and definitely my nape during my work hours. It has really helped my hair, too. I have little sample jars that I carry with moisturizers in them and I also keep some castor oil with a little camellia (or meadowfoam or ricebran to thin it a little) in a squeeze bottle that I use. My hair stays soft and moisturized now. Moisturizers that I like are Qhemet Heavy Cream, Blended Beauty Butter Me Up, SheaAloe from Hairveda, and Hollywood Beauty Carrot Oil creme. Oh, I also make sure to do a little freshen up with some moisture and seal right before I go in to work, right in the parking lot. That helps, kind of preventive measures.
