Maybe it's just me, but I've noticed that this stuff not only makes my hair and hands sticky, but it made my hair feel like it was so dirty. My hair started clumping. Not to mention, it made it look dull too. So Sunday, I tried flat ironing my hair with this thinking that it may function better with heat, and my hair practically died once I got outside in the humidity. Good grief. I'm going to let my mother play in this one.

I would suggest reading past threads regarding Elasta Mango butter. I use it only on wet hair. It gives my hair a nice shine and spell. It doesn't do well on dry hair. I would apply on freshly washed hair before tossing it.

Check out this thread . Tekmommie mentioned that she uses it like gel on damp hair when she wears her hair in a bun. It offers a soft hold. I hated the product too until I tried it this way.

After reading the instructions on the jar (a little late!), it says it is supposed to be used daily on dry ends. I was smearing it all over my head and the results were disastrous!

I use just a little on my ends and hair line at night right before I wrap it. That way in the morning I don't have to put anything on my ends.

I use it on freshly shampooed hair before twisting for a twist-out. It gives great shine and definition to the wave pattern w/o frizz.

To be honest, this is the only use I've found for it but it would probably work just as well for wet sets.

At first I hated the mango butter, but now I love it. I put a dime size amount in my hand and rub it between my palms with a few drops of wild growth oil, Profectiv 3in1 oil or jojoba oil, then I run it thru the lower half of my hair. It leaves my hair really soft and shiny, without being sticky. I usually apply it at the end of the day before I cover up my hair.

I mixed Jason Jojoba Oil into my Mango Butter.
My hair responds quite well with this mixture.

I like the mango butter. It adds alot of sheen to my hair when I do twist outs/braid outs. One thing I noticed was that the mango butter tends to dry up in the container after a period of time..adding water will bring it back to its creamy consistency. But overal its a keeper!

i still haven't used mine.

i'm still having a love fest with the Recovery and haven't been able to move on. lol! i use the Recovery on my wet hair as a leave-in.

I like elasta qp mango butter. I washed my hair and when it was stil wet began twisting with it, and i've been getting compliments everyday. I used to do the same thing with organics twist and loock gel but found it left my hair dry, crispy and dull, and now it looks full of life with sheen and a bounce!!!

The mango butter is great on wet hair. I use the same way I use kheils silk groom, only on wet hair. I use the mando butter when my hair is up and the silk groom when I wear my hair down. the mango butter basically help me extend the life of my silk groom.
