I think they are suppose to use Yaky hair....that rough hair that you can braid.....and I think they only use another kind of hair for micro braids......that hair is more silkier I think, I use to braid my hair, but I stopped, I know that for cornrows they use Yaky hair.....HTH.....sorry if I didn't help you more!
