Two Fortune Tellers were Killed

TrustMeLove

................
So my friend had heard on the news..that two fortune tellers were killled/murdered. And the first thought that came to her was. I wonder if they saw that comin'.

HAHAHA! I couldn't stop laughing. But, than I thought about it wow those people died without really accepting Jesus as their LORD AND SAVIOR. And lost of human life on any level is sad.

What do you think about fortune tellers? Do you think they are real? or Are the fortune tellers today fake?

I don't believe in "fortune tellers". Anybody who says that they are a fortune teller is fake.
There are people that posses supernatural powers (psychic, whatever) but the REAL ones don't go around promoting 1-900 numbers. Plus there are Christian Prophets; God has blessed a chosen few of his followers and allows them to communicate his words through them. A REAL woman of Christ at this church I used to attend would pray and lay hands on members during women's fellowship and the Lord would speak through her. She laid hands on me one time and told me something NOBODY ON THE PLANET EARTH OTHER THAN GOD COULD KNOW!!!

I posses psychic ability (no, don't IM me asking stupid questions) and have proved it on one occasion. But I don't go around announcing or trying to make a profit out of it. It's a gift and God will tell you when it is to be used. (plus nobody would believe you anyway :lachen:)

Read 1st Samuel 28:5-20

What is so funny about someone being murdered?

But she added this:

>>>>>>>And lost of human life on any level is sad.<<<<<<

I honestly don't believe she thought the murder was funny(at least I hope not), but I do believe that she was laughing at the fact that they were fortune tellers, and not able to 'forsee' their attackers who killed them.

Kinda like that song IRONIC by Alannis Morrisette.:ohwell:

Who's to say that fortune telling is not a god given gift?

I believe PROPHECY is a God given gift, but I don't believe that these so called fortune tellers with their 1-900 numbers and charge by the hour services are in business for God.

I think someone else pointed too..that no I wasn't laughing at the fact that they were dead. I felt the situation that they were fortune tellers but couldn't forsee their deaths ironic. Right after that line..I go on to say..that it then hit me that these people probably died without accepting Jesus as their savior and lost of human life is sad.

The purpose of this post..was for the idea of fortune tellers to be discussed..real un real...so on and so on.

I too agree with whoever said that 1-900 fortune tellers are so not from GOD type prophecy.

I know that fortune tellers do exist. Because, forgive me for not having the scripture. But, Paul had to call the unfamiliar spirit, a demon, out of that lady and then her like "owners" came trying to kill Paul because he messed up their business (money making business).

So, I believe that some people do have the gift of Prophecy, but they are indewly by THE SPIRIT, and some people like the lady of above or indewlt by DEMONS and are not able to prophesy but tell things about you that no one really would know unlease they were there with you or the demon was there with you and you were alone.

There is a difference between pyschics and people who prophecy. All Christians can prophecy, not just a select few.

I do not believe that there are modern day prophets. So I do not believe in fortune tellers. I believe people have a right to do their own legal hussle. That is all I believe fortune tellers are, just husslers.

You are too funny. Fortune tellers just by their title says something is wrong. I do not feel they are real since you must pay first. In the Church God calls His people prophets with a prophetic voice. This is someone who fortells the future as God sees it to His people and as we trust God He will bring it to pass. :)

Do you mean in the biblical sense? Why not?
Not in any sense. I don't think ANYONE can predict the future. You can do things that can influence the future but truly predict, no I do not believe in it at all. I think fortune tellers put ideas into people's heads from what they tell them and in a twisted way you sorta do things to get that outcome. Just like if you keep on thinking your are going to fail a test. Chances are you will fail if that is all you think will happen.
