Twistings/braiding Own Hair

Would you recommend this if you are NOT a hair person.
Should I be concerned of any risk that could go wrong?

When hair twists are done is the twisting method done like regular twist?

I've been looking at the starting part of the twist and I like the loose root look
For instance I DO NOT like how this twist begin at the root

However i love how these start at the root because it looks somewhat loose and natural

I like the second set better. The parts are bigger so it looks more natural

I'm no expert but I like the second picture best as well. hat is the best hair to use for braids or senegalese twists or ghana braids? (not to jack your thread)

The second picture is how I've been wearing my hair since April, with no problems. Im planning wearing the twists for the rest of the year.
