Just when you think you know everything, you realize you don't.

Can a twist out be done on relaxed hair?

yes. here are my steps:

-Condition wash with any conditioner lying around. Rinse with cool water.
-After misting with distilled water, add a creamy or liquid leave-in to the hair
-I twist my hair tightly, apply serum to ends, and secure the ends with very small lavendar magnetic rollers. sit under the dryer for about an hour and unravel.
-the result is wonderful hair!

okay thanks just wondering. All the sites seem to have napptural hair instructions and I want to make sure that I am doing it correctly.

My sister use to use a mousse on her hair after washing and deep conditioning her hair. She would air-dry and/or sit under a hood dryer. The style would last about a week and a few days.

Very pretty twist out MissJ!

I haven't tried them yet but I would say if braidouts can be done on relaxed hair, then why not twistouts also.

Twist out turned out a frizzy mess, I will be trying it again next weekend or maybe tommorrow. It was just bad looking.

Thanks JenJen.

karezone, did you put any kind of serum or like in my case mango butter on it to cut down on the frizz? I think the way that it's finger combed helps, too. I'd never suggest using a comb on a twistout, because when I finally combed mine it was a big mess.

I used mango butter. The thing is it looked really smooth while it was in the twist but when I started to unravel them it became pretty frizzy.

Next time I will try making fewer twists.
