Turn Off the TV Challenge

I thought I started this but I don't see it in the forum. I'm new and still trying to navigate this. Anyway, I know that there is time I spend in front of the TV that the Lord wants me to use in intercession, seeking Him personally, or other service, and I just wanted to put it out there. I need some accountability and people to sharpen me in this area. Any takers? Ideas for the challenge? Length of the challenge, etc.?

okay. i'll be starting mon., may 28th and will be going for forty days until 7/7/07. i'll also be engaging in a daniel fast during this time. if there are any other takers...sign on. i am so ready for a new level of everything spiritual.

Congratulations on your undertaking. I am so not disciplined in this area I guess. When I saw your thread title, my mind immediately went:

Tuesday: American Idol
Wednesday: American Idol
Thursday: Ugly Betty

You get the picture and the Ugly Betty season really is over, so this tells you what kind of TV habit I have if my mind automatically thought about it even though the season is over. I will say that I'm not as bad as I used to be.
