Trims & Hair Cuts

I haven't had a trim since May 2011; I went natural in April 2011. I think it's time for a trim but what method of trimming works best for you and what do you recommend? I saw a video... I think it was called Deva Cuts. I think that would be awesome.

When I trim my own hair, I use Feye's hair trimming instructions:

The Deva Cuts are great if you're wearing your hair curly most of the time. Since I go back and forth between straight and curly I'm not sure if I would benefit from a Deva Cut.
