How do you ladies trim your hair? Do you comb the hair down and trim any stringy ends, or do you trim your hair in parts?

When I dust I do just the stringy ends. I had a friend trim my hair last week(she used to be a beautician..and her hair is below bra strap). I trust her.

Since I took cosmetology classes in mid 80's, I trim my own ends whenever I see them get stringy.
