New member..first post..Hi everyone!! ..I will start off saying that I tried the natural thing before when I had my first set of children (twins) in 2005..I didn't know anything about natural hair care..my hormones made my hair come out after birth so I didn't want to relax my hair but didn't know how to take care of it in a natural state so I went to wearing wigs for a while then I gave up and relaxed it...okay..I just had another baby Jan 2010 and my hair fell out worst and now I'm SERIOUS about going nature so I'm looking for some help from you all! Lol!..My hair type? Good question..I'm not totally sure..I'm transitioning..haven't had a relaxer in almost 4 months and the whole time I was wearing a wig..I noticed when I wash it..the roots have a lot of waves but it is super dry and rough..I tried some products from Aubrey Organics..which was the JAY shampoo and Honeysuckle Rose Conditioner..aftering using them once I noticed a big different in managability, shine, and softness but I'm looking to hear your ideas..oh I also tried avacado oil..it works ok..I like it too :) I don't have guts to do the bc there will be a lot to cut and I'm afraid of short hair..wouldn't know what to do with it..my hair is just above my shoulders..I'm open to all ideas and information..thanks ladies!!!

When I was transitioning I realized that I couldn't always use the same products I had used on my hair before. Deep conditioners that once gave my relaxed hair an awesome feeling gave my transitioning hair a hard dried feeling. Just try new products preferably ones that are good for your natural part of your hair

Hello and WElCOME! What is your regimen like? How do you care for your hair on the regular?

Its pretty bad but I don't have a regimen as of yet..this whole thing is new to me..I wash my hair 1x a week..condition it 1x a week and keep it in corn rows..while it was wearing a wig..so I'm definitely in need of something new..lol

What type of moisturizer do you use and how often do you use it?

I was using a the organic root stimulator olive oil hair lotion..(similar to pink lotion I think)..but thats not working..so Im looking for something with natural ingredients.
