trims? Im up against a crunch. I can always do my hair, but I havent had a trim in 4 months!
TIA

I trim my own hair. I plait it, and trim the ends of the plaits off (usually 1-2", but if I were only dusting the ends, I'd take off 1/8" or so).

Im afraid to cut my own hair since its in layers....I dont want to look funky with my various rollersets.
Do you want to come by and cut it for me?:D

I'm just getting ready to go to Hair Cuttery this morning for a trim. I've never been there. I straightened my hair for the first time in 6 months with my maxiglide so all I want is a trim, no washing. I would be weary of some salons because the moment you step in there with all that newgrowth, they may try to convince you to get a perm. Stand your ground!

This is so funny. I am sitting in rollers right now waiting for it to dry so I can use my maxiglide and straighten it. I was planning to do exactly what you are going to do. At least there I can just get 1/8" cut and they wont try to sell me a perm.
Great minds think alike!!!

Ditto to what Shellzfoshizzle said. DIY'er here.

I went to an aveda salon today called Salon Cielo for a trim. A nice Ethiopian lady did my hair. I showed her how much I wanted cut and we went back and forth a little bit, but she did liked I asked. When I told her I was transitioning, she said "Good for you." I thought that was nice for a change.

When I was transitioning, I used to wash, blow out and flat iron my hair straight and headed down the road to the Super Cuts for a $12 trim.
