Is it safe to leave regular conditioner in your hair like a leave in, or will your hair be over conditioned. I am 18 weeks post relaxer and transitioning. Today I used suave tropical coconut as a leave in and my hair likes it but I am afraid to over condition it.

Thanks,
Janet

I leave regular conditioner in my hair & let it airdry. Its been safe 4 me so far & keeps my hair soft.

I think it's okay to leave a small amount in. When I rinse after a co-wash I purposely avoid a thorough rinse. IMO that would be equivalent to just putting and leaving a small amount in without co-washing.

I don't think that leaving a rinse out conditioner on your hair will harm it...IMO it will just help it with moisturizing longer. I guess it isn't really different from a leave in conditioner.

OT: JustSimply your hair is pretty in your avatar! Congrats on the big chop!

I think all conditioners should be considered leave ins. Especially if you CO wash several times a week.

IMO you can live it in..... I DC overnight w/ wonderful results.

Wow......you ladies are great! Thanks for all of the input, it really helps me.
