EXACTLY. I never would have guessed I was a 4a. As time went on and I used different products and techniques, I noticed that I have a good amount of 3c on the crown of my head. Those coils were much larger than everywhere else. All of that started showing up after my BC.

My texture definitely changed after I BC'ed. My crown looked 4b but after I cut it was more 4a. Some people attribute this to scab hair or the lack of moisture people have on their new growth that hinders them from seeing their true texture. Basically after some people BC they realize their hair was a little looser then they expected.
