Transitioners- Do you have trouble keeping natural styles in your hair?

I just ran into a snag at 14 weeks post. My flat twists no longer stay in and it is pissing me off. I have enough NG to hold but the ends come half way out. It looks like I'll be bun styling or roller setting until my transition is over. I can't braid because i don't know how. Maybe braids would hold better. I dunno. I need some tips from the hard core transitioners.

Hi! We're about the same place in our transition. My relaxed ends have rarely ever stayed put when I would twist for a twist-out. I've found that if I make sure and dry it about 80% beforehand, they stay better, and then I also put perm rods or something at the end. However, it is definitely easier to braid it. Do you know how to braid other people's hair? Maybe if you just spend some time practicing, it will get easier to do it on your own hair. HTH!
