So I put my hair in braids the other day using Toyakalon hair, and today I did a search on the hair and found some scary threads talking about how it will mess up you hair  . So whats the deal?? Sould I take these out and go back to kankalon? What have your experiences been (to those that have used it)? I am feeling VERY uneasy right now about this hair. It was a lotta work, but if they gotta go they gotta go :ohwell:
TIA!!

I've used before and not had adverse affects. As a matter of fact i'm planning on getting my hair braided next week and I will be using it again. What did you read about it?

I wore braids off and on last year, mostly on!! And I switched up between toyokalon and kankalon and the only difference was the shine from the different hair types. I never knew of any adverse effects from the hair. I think you should be ok but go with your gut feelings.

Thanks Catina...
I am starting to feel a little better :look:
It's just SOOO much work the thought of taking all these braids down and re-doing them....uhhhh my arms ache just thinking about it!
I like your idea of alternating the hair types, anyway after this little scare I've had I don't think my nerves could handle using Toykolan exclusively.

I just took some braids down that I used Toyakalon to do and I didn't notice any breakage or anything. The only problem I had with this fiber was the tangling. The hair I used for my kinky twists has both kanekalon and toyakalon fibers and it didn't tangle at all.
Edited to add that I only kept the braids in for two weeks.

Soooo....so far no problems with the toyokalon huh?
I just wanted to *bump* to see if anyone else has had pos/neg experience to share.
Thanks Ladies :)

My co-worker uses it and LOVES it. She uses it for wigs too. She has never had any problems.

I just had kinky twists with them and they were fine. It did start to tangle alittle but just be a tad bit extra patient when taking them out.
