Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I always always towel-dried my hair before applying any conditioner. After all the raves about Herbal Essence Hello Hydration, I tried it but my hair felt like straw afterwards; so I thought it just doesn't work for me. But one day I applied it while my hair was still dripping wet and my hair came out sooooo soft and detangled.
I couldn't believe it! I've been doing that ever since and my hair always comes out so soft. So my question is, have I been doing it wrong all these years by towel-drying my hair before applying conditioner? Do most of you ladies towel-dry first or just apply the conditioner to dripping wet hair?

, but I would still towel-dry first. I don't think I'll be doing that anymore, unless I'm going to DC.
It has always been so hard for me to get my hair soft at 5 wks post and beyond; but I washed my hair on Sun and conditioned with HH, and my hair came out unbelievably soft and detangled, even the new growth.
And I only left the conditioner on for 5 mins (w/o towel drying of course).
