What is the cheapest you've found this? I've heard this works and works fast! But it's terribly expensive.

Subbing to this thread. I stopped taking it in pill form, but I can't wait to hear about the topical solution.

Ladies oh it works. I was told by someone that it worked much quicker than anything else they had tried. But this person has moved and I no longer have her address.

She had bald spots and temples were balding.

So I'm looking for the cheapest way to get this. Or as I've heard some has done, make it.

You ladies probably know but the google says "Spironolactone can cause tumors in animals. Disclaimer: These were long-term studies using larger doses than would be used in humans."

Bumping for you ladies and adding a link I found to a topical spironolactone cream. I have no personal experience with the product or vendor, but here it is for those who are interested.

Yeah thats the only place I found it also but its only 2 oz and very expensive.

Yeah I've heard if taken internally at high doses it may cause a problem for some.

But this is externally.

I take the lowest dose that they have.

How do you use the cream!

You massage it into your scalp like hair grease although its in a white cream form. The pill form works well but it takes a few months to work. And it has bad sides at higher doses. The topical form I hear works almost instantaneously and no sides because its external.

Hmmm I was showing signs of PCOS and had excess body hair so my doctor prescribed it to me in pill form to kill the unwanted hair and make it fall out. I find it interesting that it can also be used to grow hair.

SuchaLady and @growinghealthyhair Precisely this makes body hair fall out like moustaches on women strings of hair on your chin and neck those places.

But it makes hair grow on your head. Thats the catch 22 about this form of hormonal hair loss. Hair will fall out on your head and grown on your body. And this med reverses that.

Oh okay. My doctor reassured me that it would not make my hair thin or fall out but using it to grow hair is awesome. Isnt medicine awesome?

MsEveMarie Yes I was scared about that and still is. So I've reduced mines to 25mg a day. I take Saw Palmetto and other things to supplement for the lack of Spiro. At some point once I've developed a full regimen and been on those items for 3 months I plan to discontinue the internal pill form of Spiro and see if the other items will cover me.

But until then a sista is tired of losing hair so I will let the Spiro cover me for now.

:bump: :bump:

@MsEveMarie did you try it? How does it work?

Topical Spiro is effective for people with Male Pattern Baldness or Female Pattern Baldness. And those with PCOS, Thyroid disease and those experiencing temple and hair loss after birthing. All of those people are subject to testosterone and dht related hair loss. And it is VERY VERY difficult to combat.

Either they have elevated testosterone/dht or worse they don't have any elevation in those hormones they are just hypersensitive to them any little bit that shows up in their blood streams will make their hair fall out.

Some people may not know this is the behind the scenes thats going on. They just know their hair sheds continuously and they have hair loss either at the vertex, crown and or the temples.
