Is there a particular brand of brush/comb that is worth investing in. If I'm going to do this hair thing right then I need to have the best tools for my hair /images/graemlins/smile.gif <----- This is just an excuse to spend more money on something hair related /images/graemlins/angeldevil.gif

From doing thorough research,,, I discovered the Mason Pearson line (manufactured right there in England) is one of the best brands of combs and brushes. They may be a bit pricey, but they are well worth it. I bought a boar bristle brush five years ago, and it is still in good condition after being dropped on the floor several times.
Ballbeauty.com offers good prices on Mason Pearson combs and brushes....http://www.ballbeauty.com/mason.htm

Oh my goodness... I've never seen a brush that costs $69.95.

Girl, for that kind of money I hope that's the best brush you've ever used in your entire life. I mean can you explain what's so great about it? I can't even imagine and here I'm thinking a brush is a brush.

Thanks for the info SherryLove. I think the Mason Pearson line is on my list to buy in the near future. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I know...

Mason Pearson brushes are manufactured with the highest quality boar bristles, which are least likely to rip or tear african textured hair. There is rarely hair in the brush when I brush my hair. And, I always get a smooth finsh to my hair. All brushes are not created the same. The ones with inferior boar bristle or plastic ball tips are more likely to cause damage and split ends to the hair.

I don't use brushes because they always snag in my hair but at that price, it damn well better be worth it /images/graemlins/shocked.gif /images/graemlins/shocked.gif /images/graemlins/shocked.gif /images/graemlins/shocked.gif /images/graemlins/shocked.gif /images/graemlins/shocked.gif /images/graemlins/shocked.gif /images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I don't know who makes it, but sally's sells a really good detangling comb with wavy teeth. Check out their website.
