I was wondering if it was possible to condition too much. I just took my hair out of cornrows. I washed and conditioned every week and sprayed Soft and Beautiful Botanicals Herbal Conditioning Tonic (a leave in conditoner) into my braids every day. After taking them out I did a reconstructor and used ORS for a deep condition. My hair feels kind of limp and well kindof lifeless. Could I have overdone it with the conditioner? I am relaxed by the way. Any suggestions? TIA

is ur hair breaking? i know that sometimes when u condition ur hair alot with moisturizing conditioners that ur strands get really soft and weak and a protein treatment is sometimes needed to add strength...hth

I've never had problems with conditioning too much.
I think I'm addicted to conditioning

It might be possible with relaxed hair to overcondition, i dunno....but i dont think its possible for natural hair..if it were, my hair would of been a goner a long time ago....i condition for days at a time

I tend to over condition. Because I use a moisturizing shampoo, moisturizing conditioner, and moisturizing
leave-ins every wash. My hair gets too soft, so soft that strands start slipping out. So I realize that I have to use some sort of protein in my regimen.

I think you can condition with the wrong thing, at the wrong time, based on what your hair needs...but too much...no.

Try to clarify. Whenever I take my braids off, if i don't clarify, my hair feels the same way.
