Okay for some reason and I can't pin point when it started happening. When I ring my hair dry and try and part it for the couple of times I've blow dried it. It is tangled and forget parting it I can hardly separate it into sections and if I let it airdry it is matted. Has anyone ever had this problem? Or does anyone know what gives really good slip?

Did you use protein? Protein can be tangling.
I always use a really inexpensive creme rinse, just poured on and gently start to comb through. The detangling cremes out there, like Paul Mitchell, did nothing for me...that's when I started the cheapy creme rinses. However, I have to detangle while in the shower.

Others here recommend the Jilbere (sp) shower comb. I don't own one, but they get rave reviews.

Yeah, the Jilbere shower comb is great. What conditioner are you using? Maybe you need one that offers great slip.

what type of conditioner are you using? Do you comb the conditioner through when you apply it? I use humecto as a moisturizing conditioner and it gives me great slip on the hair.

Is your hair underprocessed in any areas? Or do you have different textures? My hair tangles a lot due to this. I have 4b, thick, relaxed hair. Nexxus humectress and Salerm leave in help me detangle it.

I have the same problem. As webby noted, my problems are coming from protein--Surge, specifically--and I have tried more conditioners than I can stand at this point. I am interested in the responses myself.

Last night, I tried a new combo that gave me very good slip
while my hair was wet and it feels very smooth now that its dry.

I think it was about 1 part Aubrey Organics GBP to 2 parts Elasta DPR11.

I detangled with the conditioner in, then sat under the dryer for about
30-40 minutes and rinsed. My hair hasn't felt this good in a while.

I also found that Aussie Moist (old formula) gave me really good slip.
