Okay, so I come to you asking for help. I admit it....I have three gray hairs, but I know this is only the beginning. What to do? How do you control it without permanent dyes that will make me loose all of my hair? Where do I turn .

Okay, this is good. What color do they turn? Brown? Where do you get henna? Is there a specific brand?

I heard that if you use henna you can never use other hair dye again or it will make your hair fall out. I've experienced that with Bigen and wondering if that's the case with other brands of Henna. Anyone know if this is true?

If you're using 100% pure henna you can use it over and/or under synthetic dyes. Your hair will not fall out

Henna alone will generally turn your grays a reddish color. You can add things to it (such as indigo or coffe) to make them more of a brownish color.

Also, lots of ladies get their henna from mehandi.com or hennasooq.com. You can also purchase body art quality henna at local Indian markets (Jamila is a popular brand).

Thanks Jlove. I went to get my eyebrows threaded yesterday and they do henna. I scheduled an appointment in which the lady said the henna would be ready in 10 minutes. I said how long will I have to keep it on she said 2 hours. I wanted to ask her what brand but I was tired of straning to understand her. Then I called my friend and told her I was going to go back later to get hennad(?) she said I wouldn't do it if I were you so I didn't go back. But today I am going to stop off at the Indian store and pick up some what brand do you recommend and what should I mix with it.
