Man it seems liek sometimes I just don't have the time. I know you cna MAKE time but It seems I cna't stay consistent with soem things. It's easy for me to remember to cowash my hair every 3-4 days cuz I just don't liek how it feels after that, but maing time to apply MN daily...or even every other day...or takin vitamins....Sometimes I just feel like I'm toooo busy to make it a habit :ohwell: Ladies do you feel like this? How do you make time to care for your hair?

Girl yes.....I have 4 boys and a husband....and mother that I care for....And a son the has health problems that I'm up all night with and I home school.... It's hard but its something thats for me ...this hair thing and working out is for me....I don't get a lot of time for Me but I make time(Wives and Mother know what I'm talking about)...
My only problem is I'm tired when Me time comes:lachen:I was so tired the last couple of nights ....I didn't even put my silk scarf on before bed...let alone my massages and aloe to my scalp...Oh well ...I be back on track tonight

I try to do things on a schedule, having a schedule keeps me organized. I take my vitamins in a carrier to the office with me. It's a habit now, but to prevent an upset stomach from all the pills, I take after lunch.

I don't use MN anymore, but I oil and do scalp massages nightly...I do this at the end of my day. I decided to switch my shower at night to a bath. This way, while the water is running I oil my scalp, start my massage, turn off water, massage for 1 more minute and I'm done.

I bun every day (which I love not having to do styles every morning, not that I did anyway) so it's seal ends and rebun in the morning and I'm out.
Try doing half in the morning (you said you were a student?) before class and the other half of your routine when you're preparing for bed.

I know what you mean, but I try to make it routine like the rest of my hygeine. :yep: That's how you have to think about it IMO.

Yes, it can seem so time intensive but I know that for positive results I have to maintain a routine. I now get up earlier, dinner = vitamin time and I absolutely make sure that I follow a nightly routine. This is easy for me now as my kids are grown and off to college - I can't imagine how I would have stuck to this if I still had little ones at home. I praise the ladies that are able to maintain a busy home and/or work life along with following these sometimes tedious routines.

I just try to not concentrate on my hair but on everything else. I actually carry my vitamins with me in my lunch box...so its right there in my face. (my real lunch is in a plastic bag:lachen:) but nobody knows whats in there but me. I don't uses any topical aids right now because I havent found one that I like but why dont you try putting it with your products that you use to go to bed, that way you can't overlook it when you go to before. You can also keep some vitamins in a ziploc bag in your desk at work. I used to do that too, that worked out great.

I probably shouldn't even respond because my schedule isn't busy. But i'll help anyway. If this has been said, im sorry: why don't you apply your growth aid on co-wash days? (if your not already) If you eat in the morning, try to make it a habbit of taking your vitamins then. If you watch tv at night, apply your growth aid while your watching your favorite show. Just some suggestions.

I feel you 100%!! I'm trying my best to make the time, but I really don't. :nono: I'm still trying to wrap my head around the idea of washing my hair more than once a week! I just don't have time! I'm 4b natural... not the type of hair that I can just bun and run :lachen:! When I wash my hair, I have to something, either twistout or blowdry and flat iron. And since I am trying to stay away from heat, twistout is usually my style of choice and that takes a few hours! I'm new to hair care... been wearing braids for over a year, and mistreated my hair before that :ohwell:

I'm still trying to figure it all out, but until then, I just have to sacrifice sleep once a week... :nono:

Same here. I cowash when I take my regular shower. I take my vitamins before or after brushing my teeth. You just have to incorporate these things into your everyday routine. Over time it will just feel like second nature.

I used to CW every other day but now it is down to once a week so I work in my sulfur and MN mixture during the week since I am not washing as much and I seem to be getting growth based on me being lazy.

I was getting really good at this, until I started takin showers at 12 in the morn cuz of homework and stuff....my hair needs about 8-9 hours to air dry...maybe I have to cowash in the shower then sit under the dryer for 30 min and let it air dry the rest

This is exactly why I don't use growth aids. It's too difficult for me to be consistent with it.

I dunno.....I mean I don't take vitamins or supplements. I don't baggy or bun. I only CoWash when my hair has been washed. I do trim regularly, keep the heat to a minimum, wrap my hair faithfully

and my hair still grows......I used to not have the time to take care of my hair either. I kept tweaking my regimen until it realistically fit my lifestyle.
Take a look at it in my journal if you want (it's under Taij, my old name).

My hair has never been better. I wrap it at night and comb it down in the morning. I may have to touch up my nape occasionally but other than that its good to go. I have never enjoyed my hair soooo much and I get compliments on it all the time.

Just find what realistically works for you and also be realistic about what you can do with your hair....and remember.....

your hair will grow regardless of what you do to it. Its all about retaining the growth you get to obtain the length you want.....you don't really have to do much.....

I don't:yep:
