And I'm wearing a bun...how lame is that? Not that anyone will see me cause I work from home, but still!!!

I'm curious...how many of us let our hair regimen dictate our hairstyle when we go out? Case in point, I have my last hand dance class this Friday and I would love to wear my hair down and swing it in somebody's face. LOL But I refuse because my hair regimen dictates that I cannot relax until NEXT week and I must wear my bun until then. :wallbash: It kills me to deviate even though I want to so bad!!!!! Is anyone else like this?????:(

i think birthdays should count as a free pass... you should be allowed to relax a little bit early just this once and wear your hair the way you want. or at the very least, maybe you could flat iron/press it to wear it down just for your special day and bun it up again later.

i'm bad at sticking to things, so don't take my advice... :lol:

Mine is tomorrow ..I'll be 42 years young
I was going to use a pass to flat iron
But I choose to do Bantu knots; they give me big ringlets, so I'll work those
For my B day dinner

I say go for it. Its your hair and if wearing it down will make you happy then do it. I'm sure it'll be gorgeous.:)

It's your b-day, so enjoy your hair. I wouldn't want to become a prisoner to my hair. Having it down one day, or even one week is not going to hurt it. Moisturize those end, and swang that hair girl. :) As long as you go back to your routine afterward, you should be fine.

I'am the same way,I won't let my hair down unless it's scheduled.
However when the itch is to big I just HAVE to let it down,the bad conscience afterwards prevents me from doing it anytime soon again tough!
Maybe you could put your hair in an high ponytail so it won't rub against your clothes?

I agree with some of the others. Where your hair the way you want and then go back to your routine. Just have fun either way!

Mine too! I'm in a ponytail.
 
I gave up buns. I do semi-protective styles, but no more buns. I just dropped in to say Happy belated birthday!
