Does anyone know if KeraCare 1st Lather is a clariying shampoo??

Your welcome. Like I said many of the ladies know this stuff but I found it interesting about the Polymers/Plastics and oil breaking em up.

Thanks Mindymouse:

What a coincidence that this Aveda salon is just 2 minutes from where I work. Maybe I'll go in there for a treatment during a lunch break.

This article also makes me feel good about the oils I've mixed together to put in my hair. My hair has never felt better.

Thanks again!

Hey Mindy, I just got done reading the second article by Aveda. very informative. I saved it on my hard drive. The cool thing is their perspective on oil and how it's the only thing the really breaks down the build-up we have on our hair. This makes me wanna do my hot oil treatments, before every wash. Thanks for the link ! /images/graemlins/smile.gif

I agree.

This is what a KeraCare brochure contained regarding the 1st Lather Shampoo:
" Problem: Hair and scalp have residue build-up (oils, silicone) from maintenance and finishing products. Hair is not responding to styling efforts.

KeraCare 1st Lather Shampoo cleans hair thoroughly without stripping natural oils. It prepares hair for a second shampoo. Excellent for use with hair weaves. Suitable for all hair textures. pH balanced."

Thanks mindy for that very informative article. Just today at church I was telling someone who has badly damaged hair, from her salon relaxing, then coloring her hair before shampooing-about my olive oil and honey treatment before shampoos. I will give her a copy of this article. Thanks again.

I was thinking the same thing myself! /images/graemlins/smile.gif Cuz sometimes I get lazy with the hot oil treatments, so this will make that stick in my head to do them EVERY time!!
