...and wear their hair down (no weaves nor phonybuns/tails), how do you keep it looking good?

Recently I had a majorly bad hair day in the club and had to wear my friend's hat. I now realize that I had alot of moisturizers in my hair and should've been using setting lotion.

I'm now thinking of using hairspray for added defense. Does hairspray really work?

What do ya'll do?

be careful when choosing hairspray, most of them contain the drying alcohols. i remember my stylist using hair spray on me, before i knew what it was. i would comb through my hair and little pieces of hair would break right off.

What if I don't comb my hair? I need something to protect my curly hair in very humid atmospheres (inside of a club).

I have used the BioSilk hairspray without any problems. Granted, I use it when it is close to wash time and hold it far away from my hair when I spray it.

What you need is a good curl holding cream that keeps definition despite the humidity.

I live in Florida, so this is a must for me. I find that Curly Pudding is the best curl-definer/frizz fighter out there for me.

I use the biosilk spray for curls and for wraps I'll use suave, but either way a little poof comes out. /images/graemlins/frown.gif

I used to use mousse, olive oil, and Clairol herbal essence hairspray or Hawaiian Silky dry curl gel, activator, and hair lotion.

it works to a certain extent, but if its hot and funky in the club, you might as well wear a bun or big hair..I go for the big hair...I like to think I am a rock star.

Hell yeah! /images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I bet this will work when my hair is longer. It looks like I'll just have to wear a phonybun until my hair grows out /images/graemlins/ohwell.gif
