Ok, so I emailed the Wild Growth Oil company and asked if they would offer a scented version of WGO in the future.
This was their response:
Hello,
Thank you for writing. Fundamentally, the scent of Wild Growth® Hair Oil cannot be significantly changed. There will be a new Wild Growth product called Wild Growth® Light Oil Moisturizer that you sparingly put on right after Wild Growth® Hair Oil that will not only give your head a lighter scent after being applied but will deodorize the scalp and will as significantly reduce dryness and friction in between Wild Growth® Hair Oil applications. It will come out at the end of this month. Please inquire then.
In the mean time, you may apply WG a couple of hours before bed (so that most of it gets absorbed) and wear a silken scarf or equivlent in bed . By morning, a substantial part of the scent would have dissipated. This has been the advise for 23 years for people concerned about the smell.

Wild Growth® Hair Oil
Directions: Shake well. For African hair type hair that is at least 4 inches long: use 20 drops for each quarter section of hair. First use 4X 20 drops (80) just on hair alone. Then part hair and squeeze a little with the pointed scalp down every part across whole scalp. Comb or Brush. If hair is short or close to scalp and the scalp can be easily touched with fingers, then 10 drops on each finger tip directly to the entire scalp (one can also follow by sparingly oiling hair surface for conditioning split ends) In all cases, apply 1-3 times per week. Can be used on dry hair and scalp between washings (rule of thumb is: when hair and scalp feel dry to the touch or no shine at all on hair or on finger tips after touching the scalp, then re-apply). It is to be used after washing whenever it is washed, on damp (not wet) towel dried hair. A bottle under any circumstance, should last at least 1 month, often 2 months and maybe longer. For Caucasian, Asian Spanish, Middle Eastern and other fine, soft and oily hair types, apply 5-15 drops with finger tips to entire scalp only after every time hair is washed. Apply on damp, towel dried hair. One botte should last from 3-6 months or longer. Comb or brush. Use only as directed. Nonhypoallergenic.
