I just took down a weave tonight because I know how my hair gets after 10+ post (I am at 13+ post) and I planned to relax early. I wanted to relax because my hair gets very dry and as a result tangled. We all should know what happens to tangled hair after a weave....??? A potential setback:nono:!

So applied castor oil and a creme leave-in to my scalp several hours for taking it down. My braids were very soft. I was like wow. So I added more castor oils to each braid and to the length of my hair when I took out the cornrows. It made detangling and putting my hands through my hair a breeze! I decided not to relax. Castor oil just brought me two more weaks by making my new growth soft and my ends strong feeling. The shed hair even slid out with a gentle pull.

Tip: Apply castor oil to scalp and braids before a take down. It makes detangling BEFORE a wash much easier.
