Give me tips for color application

Any tips out there from ladies who do their own color? What do I need to know to achieve salon like results?

I'm using Sebastian Colourshine.

Just put it all over,saturate every strand root to tip with color. Leave on the recommended time and follow the directions(plastic cap,hooded dryer etc.)hth

I agree.

And I've heard it was a good idea to do color on clean, but not shampooed hair so that it takes better.
